Evoking both stage and spotlight, the new logo for Arena Stage was an integral part of an identity update designed to give this Washington D.C.-based regional theater a more contemporary spirit.
The redesigned identity system comes to life in a series of season catalogs and posters. Lively, "animated" typography and interpretations of each season's productions by top-tier illustrators gave Arena a distinctive new look. The posters raised the theater's profile in the greater DC-area and were ultimately included in the Library of Congress' permanent collection.
